For the new library and file Manlleu proposal, we wanted to create a space with personality to give body to the place where it is located. In an urban levels, it is hoped that the proposal will generate a connection between the 3 projected squares within the Urban Improvement Plan, making the access to the future library would work as a backbone between different public spaces designed. This entry point not only served as an entrance to the library, but also the resulting oxygenated and fluffed urban giving added value over a public space quality.

Description:
The project is characterized by being located within the future urban fabric that will be consolidated in the slum of Vila de Manlleu. This is an area in full transformation, near the Ter river and with a strong industrial character.
Description:
In an architectural proposal level, the proposal Library stopped being a simple container of books to become a multicultural space where everyone could experience the joy of reading. Within this philosophy, a library is designed to be a leisure that activates the future development of the area by creating a new hub for the city.
Description:
The proposal sought two distinct faces. The side facing the Square # 1 was the one closest to the essence of the Fra Bernardí Manlleu square continuing with the structure urban town, and the side facing the square # 2, the design more like a triangular public Square as well as was in the Urban Improvement Plan as a more dynamic and fun element becoming the backbone of the resulting public space.
