The design idea banc arose from the need to create an urban element within the family "ROC" of Durbanis to accompany the design of the existing planter. The bank "Roc" is an urban element with a geometry able to order different outdoor public spaces. The most remarkable feature of this product is its versatility of uses and their own possibilities.
Its repetition and rotation allow you to create an element like "Trencadís' becoming a fragmented patchwork appearance so characteristic of Catalan modernism architecture. In the night scenes, the piece can light projecting down its geometry giving the feeling of buoyancy and defining public space making it an outdoor area safer for the user.
The ROC bench is a tribute to the Catalan modernist architecture using the 'Trencadís' as a base for its design. Their three-dimensional surfaces are used as a fragmented mosaic making each piece has a distinct geometry depending on their spatial positioning.
Its primary composition is of reinforced concrete and can have different finishes to suit customer needs and place. The piece can be finished in polished concrete, wood or rubber.
The ROC Bank uses in its finishes ecological materials and recyclable products such as timber and rubber, the latter being material, a compound of recycling of car tires, achieving a urban element, ecological and sustainable.
